The experience of tide pooling is nearly universal. Many types of sea life come close to shore to visit in shallow water for a short time between tides. A remarkable collection of distinctive individuals making their way in the ocean and along the shore adapting to their unique place in the ecosystem.

Our Tide Pool Tale products capture these fascinating characters in true-to-life sterling silver.

Sea Urchins belong to the same group as Sand Dollars. The outer skeleton is made of of ten fused plates surrounding the animal's body. Every other section has holes through which the urchin extends its tiny feet. Most often they are found offshore in colder waters, but sometimes make their way into shallow water and tide pools looking for food. The tiny bumps on the surface are where the urchin's spines were originally connected.
